The design of the Almond Hotel took inspiration from ‘Colors Of Life.’ Already upon entering, one experiences the colors, atmosphere and magic.
The Israeli artists that were incorporated into the hotel’s design, were asked to express in their works an interpretation for all that’s colorful, unique, and sometimes cheeky (“Chutzpah”), versatile and joyful in being Israelis.
- The reception desk, the wall art within the rooms and the hotel signage were uniquely crafted by Tzachi Nevo – artist and creator of UMASQO, who had put together a colorful, happy and exciting composition.
- The exciting photos by photographer Avshalom Levi were chosen as the main decoration feature. In his breathtaking photographs, Levi attempts to illustrate the essence of being an Israeli using people, local landscapes and their impact on each other.
- The restaurant walls are adorned by the murals of Shirog – a contemporary visual artist whose illustrations simulate the walls as mirrors, reflecting Israel’s imperfections, on the one hand, and its full glory, on the other.
- The decorative plates by Italian artist Pierre Fornasetti, adorn the restaurant’s buffets.
- A huge mobile, fabricated by COZI studio accompanies those descending down the hotel stairs and oozes tranquility and optimism. The piece, which simulates flying Albatrosses, was created using wood-bending technique by special press.
- Artworks from the Israeli collection of Gallery 1/135 are scattered throughout the hotel.
